My Flawless Face Routine (updated)

With a few simple steps you can achieve a flawless looking face. Remember that the best way to HAVE a flawless face is to drink lots of water, wash your face everyday and have a skin care regime free of toxins. Look out for Parabyns and PEGs in your products. Lessen your sugar intake so that you aren't dehydrating your skin causing unwanted wrinkles. Get a good amount of sleep to avoid excessive bags under your eyes and exercise at least three times a week. It's a lot to think about and that's why most of us, me included, don't have a flawless face. Just do the best you can, choosing the steps that you feel are most important in your life and go from there =).

What's Your Favorite Bronzer?

As I start to contemplate the end of summer I am finding ANY reason to get out into the sun. To feel the warmth and lounge by the pool with my boys. What will I miss? What are the staples of summer for me? #1 Summer activities: swimming class, picnics, park dates, BBQs, and lounging at the pool (face FULLY covered of course!) #2 The food: Watermelon, cherries, corn on the cob, avocados perfectly ripe, summer salads...oh the list could go on and on and on =). #3 Bronzer for that sun kissed glow! There is nothing like a healthy glow in your skin and bronzer is JUST that! What is your favorite bronzer?

Now I know that all of us have seen the effects of bronzer overload. Oompa Loompas among us, if you will. There is nothing worse...well, few things worse than over application of something as drastic as bronzer. When applied correctly it can enhance your face, sculpt and chisel and give you a healthy "no sun" glow. Remember our three? I talk about that a lot when dealing with bronzer. If not, check out this video. It's packed with loads of tips and tricks when contouring your face. Some people are what I like to call, bronzer deficient, or bronzed and confused when knowing how to pick out just the right one for you. DON'T BE ASHAMED or even embarrassed. We ALL have gone through it, myself included, but there is help without going to group meetings =). Make sure to pick out a bronzer with as little to no sparkle as possible. Sparkle attracts the sun and therefore is "pulled out". A matte bronzer in the hollows or sunken in parts of your face will deepen them ever so slightly giving you dimension and killer "curves". If you crave that sparkle then choose a highlighter or shimmer powder to dust just above said bronzer. Just remember that less is more and more = oompa loompa. Happy bronzing while we still can =).

July Favorites...Or Favorite

I have just one love this month. But it is for sure true love! As most of you know I have used, for quite some time now, my beloved Nicole Miller Bronzer. I adored the deepness of the color and the tone (not to mention I had three of them and waste not, want not. Although the shimmer did bother me somewhat it wasn't enough for me to abandon it and seek out a new one. That is until I got an email saying there was a sale for Urban Decay online and so naturally I went to take a peek. I went straight to primers since I was getting low on it and somehow was swept into another "aisle".......bronzer! I had heard about the matte bronzers from UD and knew they had to be great so why not just try? I took the plunge and ordered one in Toasted. I HAVE USED NOTHING ELSE SINCE THIS BAD BOY GOT HERE!!! I love it! The color is perfect for me, the contouring is awesome, I use it to warm up a smokey eye...there are JUST no limits to this thing! I feel it's a must for summer (matte bronzer that is) with a touch of highlighting shimmer just above and will do wonders during the winter time by itself for contouring. Hot Smokey Summer Eye

Turn up the heat with this smoldery eye! I haven't been feeling all that great this past week but inspiration struck and now I give you the silent movie era of makeup tutorials =). The music makes me want to do a 1920's flapper look...and I think I just might!!! My fav part is that it took my husband this long to show me how to speed up videos and change transitions. I feel like I am BURSTING with new ideas now!!! This video normally would have been 8 min long but since I sped it up to match the theme it's HALF that! Also, I hold up a brown shadow toward the beginning and don't tell you the name is Embark from MAC.

Well, I am off to bed for more sleep. I need it since my son's birthday party is coming up and I want to kick this sickness to the CuRb! Get this, he asked for a Halloween Birthday Bash in June =). I am beYOND excited since that is one of my FAVORITE holidays. Can I share the invites with you?

 We made a mold of his finger, roughed it up, tied a reminder ribbon around it and laid it on a soft bed of reindeer moss. I was DYING when I saw how cute and little his fingers were =). Thank you Martha!!!

Naked Pallette

Another J-Lo look but you knew this was coming =). I wanted my first look from this pallette to be her and I LOVE this look but H.A.T.E my camera and how it isn't HD. It doesn't pick up the colors like I would like and I am SO in the market for another!!!

Jennifer Lopez Tutorial

Okay, okay I'm listening! = )You asked for more Jennifer and here she is! Lopez really lights up the (whatever color) carpet with this look. Her makeup artist is very in tune with what looks flawless on her skin. The hint of purple in the crease compliments her eyes and the soft orange right above that compliments her skin. She couples the same orange on her cheek and a hint of it in her lips as well. If you want to know how to get this look click the video below!

LoVeD doing this look!!!! I spray tanned....not that you can tell with my lovely computer, and wa able to bust out my NW 25!!!! It made me so happy =). I want a "perma-tan" like NObodies business!!! Starlet Series Hilary Duff

Megan wanted to see this look inspired by Hilary Duff and we decided...at midnight...to do it. Why not, right ; ). I love the smokey browns and the lashes. Megan was a good sport to let Kev take some pictures of her afterward. Quite the model, eh? =)

Love that the most perfect backdrop we have EvEr found turned out to be a SHOWER curtain. Isn't it gorgeous????
