So tell me if you want me to do a tutorial on this look and leave any requests. Can I please tell you that Jessica went to go and get her makeup done by a MAC artist and I have SO much yet to learn!!!!!!!
Oh how COOL! Red.. hmm. I wonder if I could pull it off. Where did you get it from??
Got my UDPP today and I LOVE it! How have I gone without it all these years?? Well if you don't know.. Anyway, I also ordered this: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P222107&categoryId=B70
Any tips on which of those colors to combine? That's what I'm trying to figure out.. I've always just gone with brown colors so this whole color thing is new for me. :o) Same with the Kohl's thing.. I have slightly hazel/mostly green eyes.
Also, with your liner, I've watched videos on how others apply it (plus yours) by doing the little strokes.. do you like using liquid liner or a pencil? Or wetting down eyeshadow (and how do you do that)? I've just used something like Avon where you twist it up (if that makes sense).
Happy Birthday to Kevin! : ) You looked very pretty, as usual! The looks that I would like to know how to do involve all of the colors that I have: white, gray, black, blue/gray, dark blue, various shades of purple, and light and olive green and dark brown. I don't necessarily need to know how to combine all of those colors together into one look, but if it's possible, great! But I also want to know how to mix and match those colors. I know you did the "orchid" eye, but how about a tutorial on how to do light olive green and olive green with black. Or light and dark blue with black and gray and white. Or shades of purple with white and olive green, or just light blue with black, or dark brown and black. : ) I like either a light color on the lid and move up into darker colors, or a dark shade on the lid and move up with lighter colors. There! That aught to keep you busy! : )
YES, you are such a temptress to wave that in front of us and not tell us how! Seriously, when you came over the other day I was like, "Dude! Diggin the red eye shadow!" So festive!
I love that red looks great!! I wanna learn how to do a smoky eye using deep purple and gold, I just love those combos and think it would really make my eyes stand out. Oh and I was wondering besides the MAC gel liner, what other eye liners could you buy that are in a pencil that don't smear down your face by the end of the day? I love the gel liner from MAC but sometimes it's just so hard to put on. Your blog is so much fun, and I cannot wait for a new post! Have a great weekend!!!
Becky, I LOVE the shadows =). I would love to see Oil Slick(outer v), Kiddie Pool(middle third of lid) and Uzi(inner third of eye) together. Also for the Britney look you can use Oil Slick, Flipside and Uzi on the brow. Flash and Flipside would be fun using the blue and green tutorial tips. As far as liner, I have fallen in love with the liquid pots from MAC but I still love using a pencil for the fluid line and for smudging. Liquid is easier to control, especially when you have mastered how to do it with small strokes. The red look is MAC, all three colors come in a pot called Danger Zone. You can wet shadows and use a thin brush to use them as liner but I wouldn't recommend wetting shadows with just water for your overall look. Water evaporates through out the day and will take some of the shadows appeal with it and can leave you with a semi "cracked" look. On the side bar you can find how to make a homemade mixing medium which is a solution to use for the same effect without using water.
Love the Red, especially with the holidays coming up! Your tutorials are amazing and so great to watch. Requests? hmmm... I'd love to see a tutorial where you might discuss your experiences with wedding make-up, and share an example of how a bridal look can go from looking great during the daytime outdoors, to evening indoors, and what changes / touch-up would be best to do in between bridal photo sessions on the same day. This would be useful for all of us ladies in the wedding party wanting to look our best being in family photos outdoors and later more formal family portraits indoors as well. I just love learning everything and anything you have to share. Thanks so much!
I read you comments and would love to talk. I am unable to find an email address on your blog. You can email us or contact us via the phone number on the site.
Jen, I'm afraid I keep making the excuse for myself that I can only look at your blog and be jealous and not ever try a look, because I don't have the make up...
But I'm tired of feeling frustrated with my make up. Mainly my eyes. So, lets say I am going to spend 100 bucks. I'm good with liner and lashes...I'm talking mostly shadows, primers, etc. What do I buy? Where do I go to get the most for my buck??? I'm tired of being frustrated with my every day...and even though I yearn to, I never get creative.
K, Jen...I'm assuming these are Mac colors on the side. Thanks for posting colors just for me! :) You're too kind. Okay, so where do I buy UDPP? And...what kind of base foundation/powder do you reccommend? I am acutally kind of in a rut with that too? I have my MAC bronzer and blush...just the base is giving me some issues. I'm probably going to MAC in the next few days...but let me know if I can get UDPP at Sephora or Ulta or something.
K, so, I bought all of it. Well...I already had vanilla. So other than that, I bought it all. Plus while at Arden, I left Mac and headed over to Sephora and picked up some UDPP. Haven't used any of it yet. I'm kind of nervous. I can see totally where you are going with this, but I wanted to see what you had in mind for looks. I know you're busy and you don't have to do a tutorial just for me...but...email me or something and give me some ideas. If you can. :) Thanks girl...you're the best. stacerbabes(at)hotmail(dot)com.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Stace I am SO excited for you!!! Okay, I am ToTaLlY going to do some personal tutorials for you. Just keep watching. I think that you are going to die when you see the difference using the UDPP. Let me know. Also, I usually wear the foundation and powder that have the most coverage but I am kind of over MAC's foundation. Yeah, I said it. Does anyone have any recommendations?
I absolutely love this look, and the mac shadow! Isn't it fabulous?!? I love the red look and actually wore this look to a ward party for Valentines Day and got so many compliments. They were still talking about my red eyeshadow the following Sunday, and I had a list of ladies who wanted me to do the look on them.

Is it just my computer that is struggling with sound?
That would only look good on a beauty like you!

Gen, I will get on those requests. As far as the olive green and black look down to the Fall Green Tutorial and that should be good.

I bought some UDPP and tried it for the first time today and it is amazing. Thanks for all the great tips!
Used my UDPP for the first time by myself today and it transforms drugstore make-up into luscious shimmery magic!!!!
