No Video But a Hot Look

So I FINALLY (with the aid of my mother-in-law) found out how to take these close up shots and will now use my OWN eyes for the looks!!!!! I am SO excited. This eye uses Nylon on the inner corner faded into Bitter then Electric Eel and finally Deep Truth on the outer V. To soften the transition from the Nylon to the Bitter I patted a little Chrome Yellow. On the brow bone I used Vanilla. On the bottom lash line I used the darkest to the lightest color starting from the outside going in. Black liner and mascara finished off the look. Try it out ladies!!!!!!

So I just bought the melon pigment from mac and LOVE it! I couldn't remember where you mentioned it. I'm blue eyed so it really makes my eyes pop! So fun!

Very glamorous. How does eye shape affect your application technique?

Hey there, Jen! I REALLY like the look! Once again, you have demonstrated how a little goes a long way, in regards to the color on the outside there! I also like how you're able to take pictures of your eyes! They're great pictures! I'm glad you'll be able to do that from now on!

As far as eye shape goes, mine are slightly downturned so I try to bring it up on the sides with the color. If your eyes are further apart then doing too much color on the outside will magnify that. Bring it closer into the corners. There are great comments from Codi on how to work with "hooded" eyes further back in the blog. Mostly knowing your bone structure and how your eyes are shaped is helpful in makeup application. Also just the effect you are going for helps in where you will put the darkest or brightest colors. I would also recommend opening your eye and looking straight into the mirror while applying so you see how it will look when people are looking right at you to get the desired affect =).
