I haven't used any of the tutorials, cause I'm just too much of a spaz. I love watching them though. If you could just reach through the computer and do it for me, that would be great. Maybe I should practice on Bailey first? She would sure like that. I really do love the idea of clear mascara for fly aways though. That's something I actually could handle.

How do you do your eyebrows? Do you use shadow? What color?

I use Embark which is a MAC shadow. I use the angle brush from the craft store. Black handled Loew-Cornell 1/4" and it says Rose on it. There is a number too 2013 if that helps. I find that using a shadow is much less harsh than using a pencil. I can get more definition too if I wet it first. But I don't always want that, so maybe 25% of the time I use it wet but the rest dry.

I must be a total blog sucker because i have gotten the book "Making Faces", I've gotten some of the brushes, I made the brush holder (so cute), I have gotten the pallett... and filled it (that was naughty), I got sea and sky and cant make it look like you did for the life of me... but practice makes perfect. Um... oh, and I do the clear mascera trick all the time. Wow, after reading this I am a total dork ;o) I love the tutorials, I just dont have alot of the colors you use. I do the technique in them though. Keep em' comin'!

So I just found your site and wanted to ask a couple of questions...
so I have used the Mary Kay Eye primer for almost 5 years. I was wondering if you have tried it and what is the difference (if any) between the Urban Decay and the Mary Kay.

Also suggestions for lip color...I love the NARS lip gloss (specifically Risky Business) I like NARS becuase it isn't sticky. I have not been able to find a good lip stick...I have tried MAC but I am just not a fan of their lipstick or lip gloss.

I haven't used cream/gel eyeliner and wondering about the pros/cons, brands, etc..

I have never used the MK Primer Potion. What I like about the UDPP is that it is not greasy, lasts for a long time and REALLY makes a difference with your shadows. If MK gives that as well then I would say go with the one that is cheaper =). I use liquid liner from MAC that comes in a pot. It stays on all day and the best part is....it doesn't SMUDGE!!! I can NOT stand it when I perfect a look, go out and then realize that through out the day, my liner has been "traveling" on me and I get those "goopies" in the corners of my eyes. Not so with these liners. They stay put and ON all day long. I have found with some drug store liners that they tend to dry up a bit and leave a crackly look on the eye. They may have come a long way however since I have used them last. I am a fan of MAC lipstick because it doesn't dry my lips and it also stays on well. What is it that you dislike so that I can help with directing you to a brand that would fit your wants and needs most? Let me know and I am SO on it for ya =).

With Mac lipsticks it seems like I have to reapply all the time and on my lips they aren't very long lasting (could be just the one I tried not sure) So I am looking for something long lasting. Also is there a trick to finding colors that look good with eyes/hair/skin/lip size etc, I also have a hard time finding colors (I don't like MACs frost colors). I have brown hair, brown eyes, full lips.

Thanks!! and by the way love your blog!

As far as colors on your lips I wish there was a better way to select what would look best and some people will say they have "the" answer but it really comes down to personal preference. There are general "rules" like you can do light eyes and dark/bright lips or light lips and dark/bright eyes. I think that you should start with neutrals but not "boring" colors. Try the Revlon Color Stay lip products from the drug store and you can do a review for us!!!! I know you hate them but try some of the matte colors from MAC. The ones that I have that are matte are wonderful at staying on. Frost, not so much =). I hope that helps.
