Norwex And A Giveaway!!!!!

Have you heard of Norwex? Am I the first to tell you about it? I hope so (giggle) =D. I happen to love Norwex products and have seen the rags in action many times. I own a few and can't wait to get more! They last forever and are SUPER effective at cleaning everything. The first time I was introduced to them I was super skeptical. I mean, really? A rag that can clean with just water and can disinfect itself within 24 hours? Sounds too good to be true right? RIGHT! Fast forward to NOW and I am convinced. What were the key factors in my conversion you ask? Well! 1. At my first party I took the challenge to wash all my makeup off with just water.....it WORKED!!! (I had even done a super smokey eye that day) and 2. (prepare yourself) Raw chicken was rubbed on the counter (gross) then swabbed so we could see the bacteria. Then it was cleaned with a Norwex rag (using only water) and swabbed again...CLEAN!!!! No bacteria, nothing!!! I love that I can give them to my son to wash toilets and not have to worry about chemicals. I can hang it to dry and in 24 hours it's ready to use again. I know, I know that sounds disGUSTing but I saw a cloth that had been used a ton swabbed and it was clean! Seeing is believing ladies. Click here to see and also watch the video below on how I wash my makeup off with the body rag.

I buy mine from the lovely Kara who is always available to answer questions or help me out with my purchases. My Flawless Face Routine (updated)

With a few simple steps you can achieve a flawless looking face. Remember that the best way to HAVE a flawless face is to drink lots of water, wash your face everyday and have a skin care regime free of toxins. Look out for Parabyns and PEGs in your products. Lessen your sugar intake so that you aren't dehydrating your skin causing unwanted wrinkles. Get a good amount of sleep to avoid excessive bags under your eyes and exercise at least three times a week. It's a lot to think about and that's why most of us, me included, don't have a flawless face. Just do the best you can, choosing the steps that you feel are most important in your life and go from there =).

Are You Washing Your Face the Wrong Way?

Iiiiiiiiiit's MONDAY!!! Time for our pearls of wisdom from the Daily Glow =). Today Dr. Jessica Wu teaches us how to wash our faces...the RIGHT way! This is what she says:
Seems obvious, right? Add water, lather, and rinse. After all, you've probably been washing your own face since you were 5 or 6 years old. But have you had any lessons on face washing since then? One of the first things I ask of my new patients is to describe their skin care routines. While most are picky about eye cream and sunscreen, many don't know the brand of cleanser they use, or they simply make do with the bar soap in the shower — the same one they use on their feet and armpits. There's a better way, and it doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. Here's how to wash your face, in five easy steps:

1. Remove your eye makeup. If you don't, it will smear all over your face, get into your eyes, and take twice as long to remove, especially if it's waterproof. Plus, you'll ruin your towels. I use Clinique's Take the Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes & Lips. If you wear contacts, take them out first.
2. Splash with lukewarm water. This will help your cleanser spread over your skin, so you won't have to use as much. Avoid hot water, which can dry out your skin.
3. Use a liquid face wash. Many bar soaps contain strong detergents that make a lot of suds — great for removing grime from dirty hands and feet, but not so great for your face. For normal to oily skin, try a gel or foaming wash, like Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser, to help lift off oil and makeup. If your skin is dry or sensitive, your best bet is a creamy or milky cleanser like Boscia Soothing Cleansing Cream.
4. Massage with fingertips and rinse with lukewarm water. Then pat dry with a soft towel; rubbing can redden your face and aggravate breakouts, rosacea, and rashes.
5. Skip the cleanser in the morning. Unless your skin is very oily (or you forgot to wash your face the night before), just splash with lukewarm water to get the sleep out of your eyes.
