With a few simple steps you can achieve a flawless looking face. Remember that the best way to HAVE a flawless face is to drink lots of water, wash your face everyday and have a skin care regime free of toxins. Look out for Parabyns and PEGs in your products. Lessen your sugar intake so that you aren't dehydrating your skin causing unwanted wrinkles. Get a good amount of sleep to avoid excessive bags under your eyes and exercise at least three times a week. It's a lot to think about and that's why most of us, me included, don't have a flawless face. Just do the best you can, choosing the steps that you feel are most important in your life and go from there =).
Hey,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I love your blog. You do such fun things with makeup and I think it's fun to watch.
But I had to say after this video, you really don't need to wash your face twice to remove your makeup, ESPECIALLY in the winter in Utah.
I am an aesthetician, and I can tell you that all you are doing with that is over drying your skin. Unless you have seriously obscene amounts of makeup on, one wash will do. Especially if you are using a brush and scrub. All you are doing with the second wash is stripping your skin of it's essential oils and making it dryer, which can in turn make your skin overcompensate for being dry and it will produce more oil, which can cause acne, uneven tone and texture, or just shininess!
So, like I said unless you have your makeup caked on like nobody's business, one wash is best! I almost never do second washes on my clients, and they usually come in with their makeup on.
I tend to ramble, sorry!
Also, I just thought of this. Using a brush and a scrub is serious overkill. The brush is an exfoliater itself, and adding the scrub seems like it's be pretty harsh. I'd use it with your facewash instead and use the scrub by itself maybe twice a week.
ReplyDeleteAndrea, thanks so much for your input = ). Ever since my aesthetician told me to wash my face twice I have seen great results. But ONLY when using an all natural mild cleanser. I also have a SUPER moisturizing routine afterward so as not to dry out my skin and drink lots of water. I LOVE the idea of using the brush with that same cleanser. I'll totally try that!!! = D
ReplyDeleteThat is great it's been working for you, it just goes to show that no two faces are the same! It's not something I would recommend to people with dry skin in a dry climate, BUT you really never know till you try!
ReplyDeleteSo how funny is this? Andrea, you are from Utah, I'm here. Then you lived in Portland and Spokane. We just moved here from Portland and have Spokane phone numbers. You're now in Denver and loving it and we lived there in 2008 and I MISS it!!!! I think we were meant to be friends =D
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh how random is that? I'm a little obsessed with makeup too, although not nearly as talented at it as you are! It's really too bad we don't live closer!
ReplyDeleteHow did you like Portland? We lived in Sherwood for 2 years and loved it the first year and hated it the second year! The rain really wears on you.
I have a Spokane number too, I hate changing my number!
This is fantastic. excellent job. I Love Love Love that I found you!!
ReplyDeleteLOL we LOVED Portland! It's where my husband is from. I don't love the rain but it didn't bother me too much since we got a lot in Sacramento where I'm from. I just miss how edgy and artistic it was! I had SO much fun on photo shoots and fashion week is always a blast =). We never actually lived in Spokane but that was my hubbies' cute way of hinting that that's where he wanted to end up. We've had the same 509 area code now for three years aaaaaaannnnnd still have never lived there =D.
ReplyDeleteWelcome WobiSobi! Glad you're here =).
We want to end up in Spokane too! It's hard because my husband works for gigantic companies and Spokane is pretty small so it's hard to find a job there. We absolutely loved it though. It's really the perfect sized town if you can find a good job. Traffic is never bad, you can live clear on the east side and drive to the far west side (airport) in 30 minutes at rush hour. It's so close to the river and a ton of lakes and the mountains. And Coeur D' Alene ID is only 30 minutes away and it is the cutest, funnest town ever. Ok I'm getting a little out of control! I'm going to go do something productive now!
ReplyDeleteAs a Spokanite myself I have to say... DITTO to all the Spokane comments! We love Spokane and hope to see Jen and Hubby here some day! It really is a great place to live.
